Hello, Thursday Nerds! Do you remember when we did a vid about our website critique services a few weeks ago? Not only is that service officially up and running on our site, but we’ve got some demos for you. We asked friends and colleagues if any of them would volunteer to have their site reviewed. Many people raised their hand right out of the gate, but we only chose two for this exercise. Let’s meet them!

Stephanie Lawton

Site: www.stephanielawton.com

Stephanie grew up in Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie. As a child, she once told her mother she wanted to be a bookkeeper, thinking she could make a living out of literally keeping books. She missed her calling as a librarian and instead got two English degrees at Youngstown State University. In grad school, she discovered that just because she loved being a student, it didn’t make her a good professor.

She started a family and suddenly awoke in the deepest reaches of the Deep South. Culture shock inspired her to write about Mobile, Alabama, her adopted city, and all the ways Southern culture, history, and attitudes seduce the unsuspecting.

A lover of all things gothic, she can often be spotted photographing old cemeteries, historic buildings and, ironically, the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast the corn fields of Nowhere, USA. She also has a tendency to psychoanalyze people, which comes in handy when creating character profiles.

On her thirtieth birthday, she mourned (okay bawled) the fact that in no way could she still be considered a “young adult,” so she rebelled by picking up Twilight and promptly fell in love with Young Adult literature. She joined the staff of the now-defunct Twilight Novel Novice and transitioned to Novel Novice when it launched in January 2010.

She is a flaming liberal and LGBTQ ally whose motto is, “Do no harm, but take no shit.”

Here’s a little bit about Musillo Sales, in their own words…

Musillo Sales Agency, Inc., located just outside of Pittsburgh was founded by Jim and Bobbie Musillo in 1980. Musillo Sales Agency began with two employees, working side by side in a 10x10ft office. The two person business of 1980 has grown into a staff of seven working in an 8200 Sq.Ft office/warehouse. The foundation of the business was built on hard work, integrity, and respect for both our customers and manufacturers.
Musillo Sales Agency, Inc. is now a second generation company, lead by the founders’ children, Mark and Marcy. Bringing a combined 27 years of experienced youth and knowledge to the market, they have expanded the business into bigger territories which include: Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Western Maryland and Ohio.

Our biggest strength is that we follow through on every job and order. We strive to build relationships with all of our customers no matter how big or small. By instilling trust, we grow lasting relationships that keep our customers coming back year after year. Because we are honest and forthright, many of our customers come to us first because of our technical knowledge of the products we represent. We make it a point to know our products inside and out so we can sell the outstanding features to our customers.
