Happy Thanksgiving, fellow Nerds! Today, is that great,American tradition. The one where we sit around, watch football, and stuff ourselves silly. And it all happens in the company of our closest friends and relatives. Keeping in the tradition of all things nerdy here in The Garden, we’d like to offer up a shortlist of 5 Android apps we’ll be using to survive, uh, thrive, during the holiday.

  1. Cooking Timer Cooking three things at once? Cooking Timer is a super awesome app. That lets you set up to three separate timers at once. Use them as countdown or stopwatch devices.
  2. Gratitude Journal When you’re in the midst of arm wrestling Uncle Dave for the butter, you might find that it’s a great time to stop and take stock. That’s where this handy little journal works well. Open the app and you’re prompted to take a moment to capture what you’re grateful for in less than 250 words. Just don’t take too long, or your turkey will get cold.
  3. Camera MX Don’t miss your chance to take some stunning photos of that family meal. Camera MX takes stunning HD pics and video. Pls, it offers some super-slick filters and other editing tools that will make you look like a pro.
  4. CookMe With more 400,000 recipes, CookMe is a great app for helping you get a winning Thanksgiving meal on the table. With Grocery Lists and Recipe Boxes at your disposal, you’re sure to get the job done. That means at the dinner table you’ll look around at your dinner table and think: pwned.
  5. Pandora Is the family fighting over who won the great argument of ’89 again? Distract them. Pandora is an oldie, but goodie that will whip together a custom playlist based on one song. The best part is, the free version doesn’t front load with ads so you can get past the jive turkeys and get on with the dancing.

That’s it! Happy Thanksgiving from your favorite nerds!
